SELFCARE
For many of us, the hardest thing about self care is the "self" part. We often find it easy to tell friends "take care of yourself." It is MUCH harder to say it ourselves.
So look for signs. And ask your friends. And if your friends advise self care, please listen. Take a rest, break away, disconnect, read a book. Whichever works for you. Many of us haven’t stretched our ‘relaxation muscles’ in far too long. It might take a bit of trial and error to find what works for you. Maybe it’s lighting a scented candle, switching off with a good book, playing a video game, having a silent disco, talking to a mate, journaling, doing some artwork or mindful colouring or watching a movie. Find something that helps to reenergise your mind and body.
But please, take care of yourself. No matter how strong you are, you can break.
